What is a Duke of Edinburgh program?
This program is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realize there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by.
You can do programs at three levels, Bronze, Silver or Gold, which lead to a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Electronic advancement is something that needs to be adopted by every scout unit (Packs and Troops) on Staten Island by June 30. Every unit needs to log into Scout Net and establish their access. The System is simple to use, all that is necessary is computer access to the internet. There is a brief training course that can be sent to any unit who requires more help. To get your units access code email Tom Zablocki at firstname.lastname@example.org
Scouting’s “Journey to Excellence” is the new performance measurement and recognition program for councils, districts, and units that replaces the Centennial Quality program. Its goal is to align unit, district, and council performance to maximize results in key performance areas that are directly related to producing a successful, growing, and sustainable Scouting program (such as membership retention, financial strength, camping, and advancement).
Enjoy a meal that is filling… and fulfilling.
