The 2011 “Hike Across The GW Bridge And On Up To Alpine” O-REE

DATE: Saturday October 1st and Sunday October 2nd

TIME: Meet up at 8:00AM
Departure at 8:30AM

LOCATION: Ft. Washington Collegiate Church
729 West 181 Street
New York, New York 10033
(Between Fort Washington Avenue and Colonel Robert Magaw Place)

• From the A Train 181 Street Station walk South on Fort Washington Avenue to 181 Street (about 1/2 block)

• From the 1 Train 181 Street Station walk West on 181 Street to Fort Washington Avenue (about 5 blocks)

BRING: Full backpack/duffle for one-night at Alpine

Saturday lunch – Sunday breakfast

Pack and Gear to be trucked to Alpine

Day Pack for Hike: Lunch, water, rain gear, etc. . . .
(i.e., 10 essentials)

On arrival at Alpine – Troops will have a snack – gather backpacks and gear – set up campsites

DINNER: At the Pavilion – Communal Dinner cooked up by Adults
(Volunteers see below)

CAMPFIRE SATURDAY NIGHT: Each troop should prep for 2-3 songs and skits

COST: $10 per participant

CAMPSITES: Reservations for nearby Cub World

SUNDAY MORNING: Interfaith Service

SUNDAY DEPARTURE: 11AM

the Palisades Cliffs

Communal Dinner at Alpine – Campfire – and a night under the
Stars!
