What Makes a Trained Leader?

Every youth deserves a trained leader.

Adult leaders in units are considered trained, and eligible to wear the official Trained emblem, once they have completed the basic training requirements.

Note: Youth Protection (EL) is a joining requirement for all leaders and must be taken every two years

The photo is BSA of Staten Island completed their final review for their Catholic Religious Awards: Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII at Holy Rosary Parish of Staten Island.

The younger youth completed Ad Altare Dei and the older youth completed Pope Pius XII.

Reminder: Boy Scout Leader Specific Training / ITOLS – 2012

This training course is designed to meet the needs of Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and interested Troop Committee Members, Parents, Webelos Den Leaders, Commissioners, and new adult leaders. Leaders will all benefit from this informative and hands-on program. The outcome and goal of the program is to help you offer the best possible program to the boys in your Troop. The training session will give you the practical skills you need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors, and help you master basic camp skills required for Tenderfoot to First Class.
