2012 Scouts in Parks Day

April 21, 2012

From 9am until 3pm We want to flood as many parks with as many scouts, scouters, family members as possible to help our communities.

Call 718-961-8483 or 212-788-8079 or email cubpack255@hotmail.com to register your group.

We will post you to the closest available site unless you have a specific request. Park assignments will be by first come first serve and project needs. Work sites will be located in all 5 boroughs.

Last year we had nearly 1400 volunteers from 113 units, working in 26 locations around the city.
We performed over 5,800 hours of service in 1 day!

Here is a great chance for you to get your kids involved in their community. Letters available for youth needing one for school service requirements.

Join us this year as Greater New York Council Boy Scouts invite others in our community to become “Scouts for a Day” to work side by side with us as we green New York City.

Hosted by:

The Queens Council BSA Conservation Committee and The NYC Department of Parks and Recreation Horticultural & other supplies provided by Keil Brothers Nursery; Bissett Nursery; David Rose Perennials; NYC Parks and Recreation, Land Restoration Project, Gemplers, Farm Tek; Northern Tools
