Cub Scout Catholic Medals Deadline January 2014

Catholic Scouts, there is still time to complete the requirements for the Cub Scout Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei medal.  The work booklets can be purchased at the Scout Shop at Pouch.

The Cub Scouts work at home with their parents on the requirements.  The completed paperwork can be submitted at the December Roundtable meeting.  The medal ceremony is January 26, 2014 at the noon Mass at St. Peter’s Church on Staten Island.

Troop 5 of Our Lady Star of the Sea Oakwood Beach-Cedar Grove Service

Dear Scouts, Leaders, Parents and Staten Island Scouters

Troop 5 and Pack 5 participated is a Plaque Dedication at the VFW Post in Oakwood Beach. The Pack and Troop provided the Color Guard and donated and served refreshments at this event.

Our Scouts were also recognized for their relief efforts to the Community after Sandy hit last year.

Thank you to Evelyn Kormanik of the Staten Island Giving Circle, the Oakwood Beach VFW Post and Tina Bilcher-Murphy (who has 2 sons in Scouting) as well as a special Thank You to our Scouts, Leaders and most of all our Sponsor, The Parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Huguenot.
